F. B. Meyer was a pastor in York, Leicester and Regent's Park, London during the latter part of the nineteenth century. His congregations were large, with over 800 members in Melbourne Leicester; he also undertook prison visitation and social action to help the underpriveliged.In addition to his pastoral work he preached regularly at the Keswick Convention. This selection from his writings is a good introduction to a prolific author who wrote commentaries, character studies, devotional and daily reading material.
