Cheerful Madness

Jo interviewed eleven very different couples for this book. The theme is not marriage, rather how to reach the decision to marry. The couples represent various situations, and include a couple whose marriage was arranged, an older couple, and a couple for whom previous marriages had failed. Jo comments: 'There is no 'right way' of choosing whom to marry. I believe God gives us enormous discretion. I want to talk about the enduring value of marriage as an institution, the factors that go into finding a spouse, and the way we can discern whether we can make it work.' This delightful and entertaining book includes thought-provoking questions at the end of each chapter. It would be ideal reading for a young couple who are wondering whether this is The One.
